We are please to announce the addition of our  new Pool and Tennis facilities at the Andover Country Club.

INTRODUCTION
 
The Andover Country Club now offers a Pool and Tennis Membership with privileges exclusive to the Pool and Tennis Facility. Membership to the Pool and Tennis Facility is available to current golf members of the Andover Country Club as a separate membership. 
 
Membership to the Pool and Tennis Facility is also available to persons who are not presently Andover Country Club Golf members as a Pool and Tennis only membership. Golf privileges are not part of this membership.  
 
 
POOL AND TENNIS FACILITIES
 
Members, their immediate families and guests will enjoy the following exceptional amenities:
 
  • Pool. The swimming pool is a full size pool with a zero-depth “beach entrance” ideal for children. The design of the pool features a separate area of the pool for adult use.
  • Children’s Water Park and Play Area. The facility will offer an area designed for youngsters to enjoy water pads with jets, a water mushroom, rain tunnel and other water features. There is a lawn play area for multiple uses. 
  • Tennis. There will be two tennis courts and a sport court for basketball.
  • Clubhouse. The clubhouse features air conditioned Men’s and Lady’s Locker Rooms with showers, day lockers and handicap accessible restrooms. Food and beverages are available via a service window facing the pool or at an indoor bar area. Alcoholic beverages may be available pendingTown of Andover approval. There will be several comfort areas around the clubhouse, outdoor dining terrace with tables and chairs with a canopy adjacent to the pool area and restrooms in the pool area. This is a smoke free facility.          
  • Pool and Tennis members may use all of the above amenities included in their membership. There shall be no court fees for tennis.
 
 
RULES AND POLICIES
 
In order to enhance the recreational and social pleasure of members and their   guests, the club reserves the right to establish or modify rules, policies or guidelines of the Pool and Tennis Facility.
 
 
FAMILY AND GUEST PRIVILEGES
 
A Pool and Tennis Facility member’s immediate family will be entitled to use this facility. A member’s immediate family includes the member’s spouse, partner, or companion and any of their unmarried children, under the age of 23, who are living at home, attending school on a full time basis or serving in the military.
 
A seasonal surcharge of $350.00 shall apply to each household’s child caregiver or nanny and the same shall be added to the member’s account.   Caregivers must be a minimum of 18 years old.
 
Members may have guests use the Pool and Tennis Facility in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the facility and the guest policies. The member will be responsible for the payment of charges incurred.  Members will also be responsible for the deportment of their guests. A pool member must accompany all guests. Daily guest passes are available at the entrance desk for ten dollars ($10.00) per person.
 
  • Pool and Tennis members must register guests at the entrance desk
  • A guest must be accompanied at all times while at the facility by the member who invited the guest.
  • A pool and tennis guest may be invited to the facility two (2) times in a calendar month only.
  • Pool and Tennis members are not to exceed two (2) guests on any given day.
  • Children who are guests must be introduced to lifeguards on duty.
  • Guest passes are non refundable
  • Andover Country Club shall not be responsible for lost articles.A lost and found drawer will be located in the office at the entrance desk.     
 
 
MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS
 
Pool and Tennis members will be issued a membership number for all immediate family members (as described above). Membership numbers will not be issued to children under the age of five. Members and their families must use their membership numbers at all times at the facility. The number must be presented at the entrance desk to gain entry to the Pool and Tennis Facility.
 
Guests are to be signed in upon arrival at entrance desk. Guests will receive a pass with their name and the name of the member who they are a guest of.  All applicable guest fees will be charged to member’s account.  
 
A membership number may not be used by any person other than the person to whom it is issued. Membership numbers are not transferable.
  
 
LOCKER ROOMS
 
The clubhouse will feature air conditioned Men’s and Lady’s Locker Rooms with showers, handicap accessible restrooms and day lockers. Lockers are available on a first come, first serve basis and are for day use only. Members are responsible to provide their own lock. All locks must be removed from a locker prior to the clubhouse’s daily closing time. The Andover Country Club reserves the right to remove a lock that is left on overnight.

GENERAL POOL RULES
 
  1. No swimming will be permitted unless a lifeguard is present and on duty. Use of the pool at any time is at the swimmer’s own risk. Swimming is permitted only during designated hours. Any injuries or accidents should be reported to the office immediately. USE OF THE POOL AND THE ADJACENT FACILITIES SHALL BE AT THE USER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE RISK. ANDOVER COUNTRY CLUB SHALL BEAR NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY SUSTAINED FROM USE OF THE POOL OR ITS ADJACENT FACILITIES BARRING WILLFUL, WANTON AND RECKLESS MISCONDUCT ON ITS PART OR ON THE PART OF ITS EMPLOYEES.
  2. The pool operating hours are Tuesday thru Saturday open at 10am and close at dusk. Sunday the pool will open at 11am and close at dusk. Monday hours will be designated by the Pool and Tennis Facility Management. The pool may be closed for maintenance, health conditions, weather or any reason deemed sufficient by the facility manager. If the pool is officially “closed” then no one is allowed in the pool. Use of the pool shall not be allowed unless a lifeguard is on duty.
  3. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by an adult over the age of 18 at the pool facility.
  4. Children must be 5 years of age to use the adult pool. Children under 5 years of age are not permitted in the adult pool.
  5. Children wearing diapers are not permitted in any pool area. No disposable diapers are allowed in the pool facility. Swim diapers are required for all children under 3 years old. No swim diapers are allowed in the main pool. This rule will be strictly enforced. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in immediate suspension.
  6. Showers are required before entering the pool.
  7. All swimmers must wear bona fide swimming attire. Cut-offs, dungarees and Bermuda shorts are not considered appropriate swimwear.   
  8. No running, No ball playing of any type, No Frisbees, No tag games or any rough play is allowed at the Pool and Water play areas. No floatation   devices or pool toys are to be brought to the facility. Children wearing floatation devices will be restricted to the “beach entrance area of the pool”. Floatation devices must be cleared by lifeguard before using. The management retains the right to limit or deny use of floatation devices for any reason.  Only Red Cross approved life vests or children’s water wings for safety are permitted.
  9. No diving, jumping in to the pool or dunking games are permitted
  10. Life saving and pool cleaning equipment should only be used for the purposes intended.
  11. Conduct of swimmers is subject to control of the lifeguard at all times.
  12. No animals are permitted in the pool area
  13. No bicycles or skateboards are permitted inside the Pool and Tennis Facility.
  14. No glass or sharp items are allowed any where near the pool area(s) and water play area. Coolers are not permitted at the Pool and Tennis Facility
  15. Food is allowed only in designated areas
  16. No food or beverages of any type are to be brought on to the Pool andTennis Facility property. All food and beverages are to be purchased from the concession area.

    State licensing restrictions require that all alcoholic beverages be supplied by the Andover Country Club Pool and Tennis Facility. All alcoholic beverages must be consumed on the premise and are not allowed to leave Pool Facility. The Andover Country Club reserves the right to control the amount of alcoholic beverages served to its guests who have been properly identified as of legal drinking age. Any noncompliance will result in confiscation of the beverage and immediate suspension of privileges. There is a limit of two (2) alcoholic beverages sold per person per visit to the bar. All alcoholic beverages are sold on a per drink basis; there are no bottle sales or pitchers.

  18. The use of cameras, video cameras or any device containing camera equipment (cell phone cameras) of any kind is prohibited in all locker rooms, bathrooms and changing areas.
  19. Reserving Sun Lounges at the poolside is never permitted. They are on a first come first serve basis.
  20. Lounge chairs or any other type of chair are not permitted within 5 feet of the pool side.
  21. Smoking is prohibited. The Pool and Tennis Facility is a smoke free area.
  22. The use of cell phones shall be restricted to a designated common area.
  23. In accordance with regulations promulgated by the State Department of Public Health, no person suffering from a fever, cough, cold, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharge or any communicable disease shall be allowed to use the pool. Likewise, and per State Regulations, no person with sores or evidence of skin disease or who is wearing any kind of bandage or medical covering of any kind, will be permitted in the pool. 
  24. Any adult or child who is experiencing even a mild case of diarrhea may not use the pool.
  
 
WATER PLAY AREA
 
The Pool and Tennis Facility has been designed with a Water Play Area for the enjoyment of younger children. The Water Play Area is designed on a flat water pad that includes a Rain Tunnel, a Water Mushroom and Jet Pad for children to play. The following rules apply to this part of the facility:
 
  1. Swim diapers must be worn at all times by children who are not potty trained.
  2. Water Play Area: No running, jumping, sliding, games of tag or rough play will be allowed. No climbing on water towers and spray equipment.
  3. The Water Play Area will be shut down one (1) hour prior the close of the facility.
  4. All the general rules of the facility apply to this area.
  5. All children must be accompanied by an adult, there will be no exceptions.
  6. Children 13 years or older will not be allowed to use the water play area.
 
        
TENNIS
 
The tennis courts are available during all hours of operation. Courts may be reserved up to five (5) days in advance for up to one (1) hour. All players must check in at main desk to access the tennis courts. Court time will be lost after a 15 minute grace period for tardiness. You may inquire at any time if a court has been reserved and walk up play is welcome if a court is not reserved.  The office has control over the use of the courts.
               
  1. Proper tennis attire is required, no cutoff’s shorts or jeans.
  2. Proper tennis etiquette should be observed at all times. Excessive noise, racquet throwing or profanity will not be permitted at any time.
  3. At the end of their playing period, players must promptly relinquish their court to the next players.
  4. The management shall determine the suitability of the courts for play. Courts will be closed when necessary for maintenance, when dictated by safety considerations and or when under adverse weather conditions.
  5. The management may reserve the courts for special events.
 
 
RIGHTS OF MANAGEMENT TO AMEND RULES
 
The management may post special rules governing the use of the pool in addition to the rules printed herein. The management may also modify the rules when circumstances call for such.
 
                  
ANDOVER COUNTRY CLUB BILLING POLICY
 
Members must charge guest fees, food and beverage at the Pool and Tennis Facility to their member account. Statements are mailed out at the beginning of each month and payment is due by the 20th of each month. Payment can either be mailed to the
Accounting Office at 60 Canterbury Street, Andover, MA 01810 or can be paid at the Front Desk in the lobby or the Accounting Office both located in the main building.
Note: A finance charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to any statement not paid within 30 days of the billing.
